Baby
Child age from one to two months: Child grows rapidly day after day. When lying on his stomach, child raises his head at an angle of 45° and moves his head right and left, whereas when he is lying on his back, he focuses his sight on something and stares at it, in this case games such as rattles or alarm clocks can be an exciter for the child at this stage. Most normal kids tackle their hands vigorously while sleeping, and sometimes suck their fingers unconsciously while sleeping too, some put all their fingers inside their mouth, however the child often sucks his thumb, and when he feels hungry he starts crying. Sometimes, you may notice that the child is staring constantly at a specific direction, this depends on his position. To keep baby's head well shaped, you should move it from time to time or modify baby’s entire position. After two months, the child begins to laugh, this delights the mother too much and increases the tenderness between the mother and her child. The child becomes happier and emotionally settled down towards others. The baby stays awake longer and sleeps through the night.

Nutrition and sleep

Just like us, children who are more than 3 months need to start learning about closing of the digestive system at night and wake up to have breakfast every day at the same time. Young children tend to sleep while eating. Where the nutrition process consumes their energy which makes them tired. Also full stomach makes the child feel sleepy too.

You can start separating between nutrition and sleeping starting from the age of three months in case you are breastfeeding naturally. Try to give your child his last meal in the early evening or at the beginning of the bedtime routine. In case of artificial feeding, you can reduce the amount of the meal gradually through his last meal and add this amount to other meals during the day. At the same time, your child can begin to learn sleep-related behaviors, such as getting a bath, wearing pajamas and listening to a story before he is left awake to enjoy the childish atmosphere around him like dim lighting, toys and decorations. The stability of such procedures also means that he will be able to continue to sleep alone in case he wakes up during the night.
